An Iframe is a special section or frame of a web page into which other, smaller pages may be loaded.
The navigation links (above) are connected to a series of separate web pages, each of which is programmed to open in a special section of the Home page. Other than that, they are conventional web files in every sense and can contain pictures, text and links of their own.
This is considered an effective means of introducing new content while leaving the structure of the Home page unchanged.
JavaScript popup windows can be used for much the same purpose. Popups are suitable where it is necessary to present the new content on pages that follow the main page’s design and colour schemes.
However, we find Flash banners to be very effective where the site owner may not have a lot of text content to publish but does have some useful graphical material, either pictures or logos. An example can be seen below. Text messages can be included and their is no limit on the number of separate elements that may be added. The text has to be turned into graphic form first and can overwrite pictures or be presented on its own as a text graphic. For short messages, or where good quality photos are available, this can be a very effective method of adding extra effect to an otherwise static page.
The contents of the Flash effects coming up were chosen at random. There is a considerable variation of border effects and animation sequences available.
